The NPP Sponsorship and Donations Policy will be replaced by two separate and distinct policies – the NPP Sponsor Support policy and the NPP Donations policy. These policies will be housed under an overarching Corporate Outreach policy which reflects the recommendations prepared in the audit by Chief Review Services.

The purpose of these new policies is to allow the NPP Corporate Outreach program to grow in a controlled manner, to ensure consistent practice across the country, and to create a systematic approach to soliciting, managing and reporting on NPP sponsor support and donation activities. The policies honour and reflect the overriding principles of ethics, public scrutiny, accountability and the recognition and avoidance of conflicts of interest.

While maintaining the basic principles of DAOD 7021-4, these policies take into consideration the unique nature of the NPP environment and how these Corporate Outreach activities manifest themselves at the base/wing or unit level.  The NPP accounting procedures for the Sponsor Support Policy can be found in Chapter 29 of A-FN-105 on the CFPSA website and should be reviewed in conjunction with this policy.
