Preliminary Compensation and Benefits Review Now Complete
The review of the compensation and benefits currently available to Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) employees has now been completed.
Personnel Systems was contracted by Director Military Family Services (DMFS) to conduct a twofold review: the current compensation and benefits strategies were compared across all 32 in-country MFRCs; then these strategies were examined alongside a variety of similar organizations to determine whether MFRC compensation strategies are equitable.
Though determining the level of compensation and benefits of MFRC staff will remain the responsibility of each Board of Directors, the compensation and benefits review will help develop a tool to help Boards objectively assess whether their current strategies are adequate. It will also help DMFS to assess whether the current level of MFRC funding is sufficient to allow Centres to compete effectively with the external market to attract and retain staff.
As the review contains confidential MFRC employee salary and benefits data, DMFS cannot publicly release the full report. DMFS would like to provide MFRCs with an Executive Summary of the review, and share some of the report’s recommendations for the future.
