CFPSA applauds one of our own!

Marie Danais, National Physical Fitness Manager with CFPSA, certainly proved that she practices what she preaches when she competed in the ING Ottawa Half Marathon on Sunday, May 28.

Marie finished 3rd place overall out of 3,777 women - 1st in her age group! Despite 30+ temperatures, she finished the 26 km race in an impressive 1 hour, 25 minutes.

On behalf of the entire CFPSA team, congratulations Marie! You make us proud!

The Ottawa Race Weekend (May 26 to 28) was also the championship for the Canadian Forces and International Military Sports Council (CISM). Running with all Race Weekend contenders, 74 Canadian Forces members strived for CF National Running Championship rankings, while 80 military athletes from 12 different countries vied for CISM's Continental/ Invitational Running Championship placings.
